Jim was born in Scotland immigrating to Australia at age 21 in the 1970's. Jim was a late starter in terms of music he picked up the guitar and started singing in 1998.

Jim really enjoys singing, prior to joining Rose & Thorns Jim sang tenor roles with a theatre group and folk songs with a trio singing Celtic songs at a few of the pubs around town.

Playing guitar and bodhran and singing with Rose and Thorns is a great way to relax and have fun. Jim is passionate about the band and their music.
