SEAN.JPGSean Flynn

Sean was born in Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland. First arrived in Australia in 1967 when he was in the Merchant Navy.
This is where Sean first learnt to play his first guitar, sitting up on deck on warm tropical evenings with other members of the crew who also played guitar and he copied their every move.

Sean moved to live in Australia October 1971.
He rarely played his guitar for the next twenty eight years due to his time in the Australian Army and other sporting commitments. Then a friend invited him to the Southern Men's Working Club in Morphett Vale for a folk session. Since then he has thoroughly enjoyed the folk scene and has met many new friends. Sean is the proud owner of two guitars, one is a Maton 12 String and the other is a Martin 6 String, which he plays in the group.

He grew up listening to the Clancy Brothers, The Dubliners and a few other Irish Folk Groups.
His favorite musicians are Kath, Amanda, Jim and Gordon Lightfoot (the Canadian singer song writer). In his spare time he enjoys getting together with his friends in jam sessions, playing various types of music.
